Undergraduate and Graduate Curriculum

Lee University offers a modern approach to clarinet education at the undergraduate and graduate levels to help students adequately prepare for today’s professional opportunities. Alongside traditional master classes, private lessons, technique, literature, pedagogy, ensembles, and orchestra and audition repertoire, we also provide students with the tools they need to secure enriching employment in the industry upon graduation.


Charlotte Kies, DMA: Adjunct Professor of Clarinet and Music Theory

Dr. Kies is an international award-winning clarinetist. She is an Ishimori Artist, a former member of the Ohio Light Opera Orchestra, and performs with the Chattanooga and Huntsville Symphonies. She has been a member of the Lee University faculty since 2017.

Clarinet Events and Guests

Lee University regularly hosts events, competitions, guest artists, and clinicians. Recent guests have included Ricardo Morales, Bixby Kennedy, Spencer Prewitt, and Consistent-C Winds.
